I went to the police regional office to attend a hearing today.

I was reminded of my first hearing as a lawyer which incidentally was an administrative case anchored on a VAWC violation against a policeman. 

I smiled the entire trip because I remembered that I was riding a motorcycle while wearing a skirt and high heels during that first hearing. I also thought that considering that today the rains poured and the road to the region is muddy, slippery and peppered with a herd of cows a rewind of that experience will no longer be cute but frustrating. I am glad that I am in the comforts of Tatay's car and the security provided by Manong Doming today.

It also made me realize that considering that some of my cases are out of town a car is no longer just a want but a necessity. It made me resolve to manage my finances better, to earn money seriously but in a principled way and to use and manage my debts and credits strategically.

Traveling, even in very short distances, always makes me pensive. It serves as an opportunity to brainstorm.

These are a few of my thoughts:

1. I really want a baby a boy preferably because I want to see a five year old boy with long hair hehehe.

2. I wish my husband will be promoted too because the smiles on the faces of policemen that I saw  were priceless. (There was a mass promotion in the Region today.)

3. Policemen, like lawyers are people too. Yeah! Basic but I often forget.

4. Iggy Arroyo is good looking. He is dead. Where did he get all his wealth? How can some people accumulate so much wealth?

5. I miss Iyay Meryam and the impeachment.
