Project Maharuben Jr.

Alvin's real name is Maharuben. I am not sure if that is the spelling. He said that when he was in his elementary grades he had a hard time spelling his name. His teacher taught him to write Alvin instead. He became Alvin from hence forward. Even in his birth certificate.

Project Maharuben Jr. is my fond pet name for our efforts to have a baby. 

Alvin when he told me that he wanted to get married raised this as one of his arguments to get married asap: "Make babies because we are not getting any younger."

I told him: Are you sure? Children are expensive! Diapers. Milk. Pre-school tuition. Vaccinations. Are you sure?!

Alvin: OO.

Things changed during the course of the wedding preparation when he realized how expensive things can get.

I used to say that we will try to make babies after a year from our wedding or at least comes January. Now things changed. I want a baby ASAP. He wants to wait awhile.

You see when people tell you to have babies soon the biological clock ticks a bit louder.Pressure!

Hopefully, Allah will give us a baby when we are ready. Hopefully too I will stop being so uptight about it. :)
